WTF Signs From Him After You Move In

When you move in with someone, your relationship will change. Sometimes the change is as small as having to share closet space. Other times it gives you brand new, and possibly relationship-changing information, about the man you’ve just moved in with. This article outlines five red flags that you should take seriously if you notice them after you’ve moved in with your boyfriend.

1. He quits his job
If you move in with a man and soon after he decides to quit his job, this is a red flag. If he didn’t discuss his decision with you and if he has no job lined up for after he quits, these are two issues that will need to be discussed. If he has no new job leads and plans to spend time finding himself, you may be the only one in the household working for months. As a couple it’s important to discuss these things before action is taken.

2. You catch him snooping through your things
Living together does not mean that you lose all of your privacy. If you find your boyfriend going through your phone, computer, or journal, this is a red flag. He may have reasons that sound okay to him for why he’s going through your things, but they still don’t make him entitled. He may think he can keep tabs on you and who you are talking to, but if he wants any information, he has to come to you personally.

3. He takes calls in other rooms
If your boyfriend gets a phone call or a text and immediately goes into another room to answer, this is something you might have to be concerned about. The only reason people move to another room is because they have something to hide and don’t want to be overheard. If your boyfriend spends an extended amount of time in the bathroom with his phone or can’t be without it at anytime, these are things to view as red flags.

4. He disappears for hours or days after a fight
If your boyfriend disappears after a fight, this is a red flag. It’s normal for people to need some distance after a fight, but leaving for hours or days is not okay, especially if he doesn’t call to let you know that he’s going to stay away and where he will be. This type of behavior can end up making you feel worse than you did about the fight because you have been left in the dark.

5. He wants your life to revolve around his schedule
If you move in with your boyfriend and he wants your life to revolve around his, this is something you should view as a red flag. Moving in with him doesn’t mean you have to do everything on the same schedule or according to his. He might expect you to wake up when he does, sleep when he does, and work out when he does, but these are not things live-in couples are required to do together.

It’s important to be able to spot red flags that may appear after you move in with a man. You don’t want to waste too much time in an environment that doesn’t suit your lifestyle or relationship needs. –
