Listen to Blue Ivy Carter Steal the Entire Show on Beyoncé’s ‘The Lion King’ Soundtrack

Her parents are bonafide superstars, so it comes as no surprise that seven-year-old Blue Ivy Carter is already stealing the show. The daughter of Beyoncé and JAY-Z has a prominent feature on “Brown Skin Girl,” a new track from Queen Bey’s The Lion King: The Gift album. And surprise surprise: Blue absolutely slayed it.

The Lion King: The Gift dropped the same day The Lion King hit theaters, and it features more than a dozen new Beyoncé tracks including “Brown Skin Girl.” Blue Ivy is credited as a featured artist and can be heard singing at the beginning and end of the song alongside Bey, SAINt JHN, and Wizkid. Blue even managed to score a writing credit on the song.

The eldest child of the Carter crew sweetly sings the lyrics, “Brown skin girl, your skin just like pearls. The best thing in the world, never trade you for anybody else.” The #BrownSkinGirlChallenge has taken over Twitter, with fans sharing photos in celebration of the anthem.

This is not the first time Blue Ivy has been featured in her mother’s projects. Earlier this year, Blue scored some serious kudos for her singing skills on “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” which appears on Bey’s live Homecoming album. Little Blue also stole the show in the Homecoming trailer, which featured her dancing to her mom’s choreography.

Beyoncé also released the music video for her song “Spirit,” which features a Blue Ivy cameo. Watch below.

The remake of the Disney classic is currently in theaters and stars Beyoncé, Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, John Oliver, and Keegan-Michael Key.
