Doting dad Matt Damon recently made a permanent declaration of love to his four daughters. Damon had the names of his children – Alexia, 20, Isabella, 13, Gia, 10, and Stella, 8 – tattooed on his upper right arm in cursive.
The girls’ names were added next to “Lucy,” a tattooed ode to his wife, Luciana Barroso.
The ink was done by Los Angeles-based tattoo artist Daniel Stone, a.k.a Winter Stone, who has also worked on Sophie Turner, Joe Jonas, Lady Gaga, John Legend, and Chrissy Teigen. Stone shared photos of Damon’s new tattoos on his Instagram, saying, “FOR HIS KIDS #alexia, #isabella #gia #stella Honor tattooing one of my favorite actors!”
The first black-and-white pic is a close-up of Damon’s bicep where you can clearly see his new tattoos. The second image shows Damon and Stone mugging for the camera after the tattoos were finished. Stone posted the pic on Instagram Story, noting it was an “honor tattooing you Matt!”
Stone spoke with E! News about the experience, saying, “Matt is a legend and a very cool human being. I’m so happy that I was able to give him his tattoos! He is one of my favorite actors.”
When I’m not hanging out with my three-year-old and husband in Brooklyn, I’m busy writing stories for Mamas Uncut and managing PR + Marketing for Magnolia Bakery, based in New York City. On weekends, you can usually find me at a local park or playground pushing my daughter on the swings, “researching” the best almond croissants in Park Slope or launching into impromptu family dance parties at home, the sidewalk or, every once in awhile, a restaurant bathroom. I’m still trying to master the whole parenting thing, but I have learned that copious amounts of coffee, humor and humility are involved on a daily basis.
