This Maid of Honor Who Wore a T-Rex Costume to Her Sister’s Wedding, Says She Regrets Nothing, and Is Our New Hero Forever

Being part of a wedding usually means you have to wear a very specific outfit, usually chosen by the bride. In one bridesmaid’s case, though, she was told she could wear anything and she went all out with a truly iconic inflatable T-rex costume.

Christina Meador was maid of honor at her sister, Deanna Adams, wedding and was told she could wear whatever she wanted. She opted to wear an inflatable T-rex costume to the surprise and delight of the couple, wedding guests, and now all of us.

“When you’re maid of honor and told you can wear anything you choose,” Meador wrote on Facebook. “I regret nothing.”

In the post, Meador shared a picture from the ceremony in which she can be seen towering over the couple exchanging vows while wearing the inflatable costume.

The costume started as a joke between the two sisters. After Adams asked her to be maid of honor, she told Meader that she knew she didn’t love formal dresses and probably wouldn’t have a lot to spend, so she could choose to wear what she wanted.

“I was trying to think of something that I would be willing to wear more than once and thought to myself, ‘Well, [Adams] did say anything, and if I’m spending more than $50, I want it to be a dinosaur costume, because they’re fantastic and I’ve always wanted one,” Meader told the Daily Mail.

Meador sent the idea to her sister and when she replied, “yes,” she was surprised. She said she gave her lots of chances to say no to the costume idea, but she never did.

The post has since been shared more than 38,000 times, with nearly 10,000 likes and more than 20,000 comments.

In response to some commenters wondering if Adams was upset she wore the costume. “My sister is awesome and I genuinely was not kidding when I said she could wear whatever she wanted,” she said.

And see? When you think a little bit outside the box and inject a little humor into the proceedings, everyone has a better time. Especially those of us who get to read about it on the internet.

What do you think of this maid of honor who wore a T-rex costume to her sister’s wedding? Would you let your sister wear a T-Rex costume to your wedding? Are you sure?
