Jon Gosselin has finally opened up about his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin‘s, “militant” mothering in a candid interview with DailyMailTV. The tell-all interview came after a ten-year gag order that prevented him from sharing anything about Kate Gosselin’s parenting style expired.
In the interview, Jon alleged that Kate abused their eight kids, running a “military-esque regime,” and sending their son Collin away to a behavioral camp in Philadelphia for three years without letting Jon know in advance. He claims he found out after the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) sent him a letter saying they had received a report of suspected child abuse involving Collin and were investigating.

“It’s time America found out the truth about Kate, she isn’t the person you think she is,” he told the outlet.
While Collin was locked away in the facility, Jon had wrongly assumed his son had been living with Kate. He later fought for joint custody and ultimately won full custody of Collin and his daughter, Hannah.
Collin has ADHD, but Jon told DailyMailTV that he did not suffer from any other disorders. Despite that, Kate sent him to the facility, only visiting her young son three times while he was there.
Jon was able to get Collin out, though his son now suffers from PTSD, according to reports.
“I know my children have suffered abuse and I know one day they’re going to tell their own story,’ Jon said during the interview. “And sadly enough, I know what PTSD is. It’s really upsetting.”
Jon and Kate had previously had joint custody, but recently a judge ruled that the children should decide where they wanted to live. Both Collin and Hannah chose to live with Jon, while Kate has four children living with her. (Their two oldest children are in college).
Jon claims he does not have any contact with the four children living with Kate, claiming that she “poisoned” the children against him.
Now that the ten-year gag order that was initially put in place after their 2009 divorce is expired, Jon is hoping to dispel some “untruths.”
“I have watched my children suffer and I have not been able to say a word. Kate wanted the gag order because she didn’t want me speaking the truth,” he said.
Jon alleges that while filming their reality show, Kate didn’t allow their kids to leave the house unless they were being filmed. As a result of so much time on camera and the isolation that comes from that, Jon claims the children lack social and basic life skills.
“What people don’t understand is you only have so many hours and minutes to film that day and you’re moving a crew around of 14 people and your kids and all this stuff, so they’re not really experiencing the whole thing.”
“I think Kate has really poisoned my children’s minds against me,” he told DailyMailTV “She’s put stuff in their minds about my personality. I never cheated on my wife, I’m not a monster, I love my children more than anything.”
