Snoop Dogg’s Grandson Died at Just 10 Days Old

At just 10 days old, Snoop Dogg’s grandson has passed away. His son, Corde Broadus, 25, shared the news on Instagram last Wednesday that his newborn son, Kai Love, had died.

“Kai Love 9/15/19-9/25/19 ///// My son Kai brought so much love and positivity into this world,” Broadus wrote on Instagram. “His energy will live on and these 10 days of love will always be special to us. Let’s all cherish life and those we love while we are here. Thank you.”

In the post, Broadus included a picture of his daughter, Elleven Love, 13 months, giving Kai a kiss, as well as a sign that read, “Love + Light” that included Kai’s name and date of death.

Braodus posted a few days later, sharing an emotional post thanking fans for their support. “Thank you for all the condolences. I think we missed the biggest lesson tho. My son did all he needed to do in his 10 days here on earth. He has now graduated and continuing to do work. He died in my arms and that feeling of energy will never leave me. Kai wants all of you to kno he’s doing great and wants to continue to inspire those who light is dim.” 

In addition to his children Elleven and Kai, Broadus also has a son, Zion, from a previous relationship.

Kai’s cause of death has not been revealed.

Snoop Dogg has not yet issued a public statement, although he did pay tribute to his grandson in an Instagram post. After hitting the stage to perform earlier this week, Snoop shared this image with the caption, “My safe haven. KB.” KB refers to Kai Broadus.
