Celebrities are constantly doing things on a whole different level, so we can expect them to make a show out of their baby announcements. Who could forget the time comedian Amy Schumer made her pregnancy announcement by photoshopping her and her husband’s face on a picture of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry? She teased the announcement with that photo and then hid the pregnancy announcement in a list of candidates she endorsed for the midterm elections. Like, how do we get on that level? Completely relatable mom and comedy queen Amy Schumer made her pregnancy announcement by photoshopping her face onto Meghan Markle’s. As we mentioned, it was more of a tease, but nevertheless, hilarious. Amy and Meghan had their sons on the same day.
Author, model, and TV personality Chrissy Teigen and husband, John Legend announced their pregnancy with their first child in October of 2015. She posted this charming photo to Instagram with the caption:
“John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant 🙂 As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Actor and director Olivia Wilde made her pregnancy public on Instagram with a cute photo of her baby bump next to her son, Otis. The black and white photo captures the moment perfectly. Look at how excited Otis is to be a big brother!
In January of 2016, actor Jena Malone announced her pregnancy with an ethereal photograph. The picture was captured by none other than the baby’s father, photographer Ethan DeLorenzo. Jena kept things unique when naming her baby. His name is Ode Mountain.
John David and Abbie Duggar, stars of Counting On, announced their pregnancy in an airplane. Model Ashley Graham and filmmaker Justin Ervin announced their pregnancy with a sweet video saying, “Surprise!” The couple made the announcement on their 9-year wedding anniversary.
Star of Bachelor in Paradise Carly Waddell and Evan Bass announced their pregnancy with a hilarious photo that included beer and their firstborn, Isabella, who has the most surprised expression on her face. Carly wrote on Instagram, “Beer Belly, Bella Belly, BABY BELLY!!!” she wrote on Instagram. “We so SO EXCITED to FINALLY announce Bella’s little brother or sister will be here in November!!! (If you wonder why I haven’t been on social media as much…well, this is why!)”
Actors Italia Ricci and Justin Amell, who tied the knot in 2016, announced their pregnancy with a funny photo on Instagram. Justin is sporting a “baby bump” like his wife in the photo. Shawn Johnson East
Olympian Shawn Johnson East and footballer Andrew East announced their pregnancy in March of 2019. The couple suffered a miscarriage in 2017, so it was a celebratory moment for a number of reasons. Shawn captioned the photo on Instagram, “We cannot WAIT to welcome you to the world and shower you with love,” Johnson wrote on Instagram at the time. “@andrewdeast WE DID IT!” She later joked that her baby bump was not in fact from a baby, but instead, the result of eating too many carbs.
Reality TV stars Christina Anstead and husband Ant Anstead, who married just two months before their pregnancy announcement, shared their good news via Instagram. The couple took the photo embracing one another and featured an ultrasound of their bun in the oven. Christina captioned the post, in part, “The kids are all so excited to meet their new sibling. #5 #Gonnaneedabiggercar.”
Lady Antebellum frontwoman Hillary Scott and husband Chris Tyrrell shared a photo of three pink skirts. One large skirt is meant for their daughter, Eisele and the two smaller ones are for the twins Hillary was expecting. She captioned the photo on Instagram, “We are overjoyed to be having TWO more girls! Eisele is so excited to have her very own living baby dolls. They photographed themselves with the Fridababy NoseFrida or “SNOTSCCKER.” The couple’s first child, Sid, would be expecting a little sibling.
