Amy Schumer’s Version Of The ‘Bernie’ Meme Is Comedy Gold

Since Inauguration Day, everyone has been buzzing about one man: Bernie Sanders.

So far, he has become the biggest meme of 2021 and of course, Amy Schumer has taken the cake when it comes to photoshopping Sanders into an original piece that is, in my opinion along with many others, comedy GOLD.

Oh, and if you have been hiding under a rock — Vermont, Senator Sanders showed up to President Joe Biden‘s inauguration looking very warm and very unenthused.

Dawning an old, rugged winter coat, big knitted-mitten and a disposable face mask — Bernie can be seen sitting cross-legged in a chair, staring off into the abyss with a grumpy aura that set him apart from the crowd.

And as you guessed, this look led to a flurry of Bernie memes and Schumer jumped in on the fun!

Shumer first shared a photo from the day she birthed son Gene in May 2019, with Sanders looking on as if he was one of the doctors helping deliver.

In the second photo, Sanders can be seen with Gene on the sofa and finally, the senator can be seen in a third photo next to a very sexually-shaped carrot.

Schumer captioned the photo, “Bernie has always been there for me our son and our greatest treasure.” I guess the greatest treasure was the sexy carrot, no offense Gene.

Many other users commented how they believed Schumer won the unofficial “Bernie” meme contest — like Kerry Washington who just wrote: “Okay, you win.”

While Jennifer Aniston responded with clapping hand emojis.

And I second that!
