Game of Thrones just entered its eighth (and final) season, and like the rest of the world, we have no idea how it will end.
But consider this: What if, after eight years of bloodshed and violence, Game of Thrones ends with… a lesson about respect?
That’s what happens in this Sesame Street clip, which shows Elmo quashing big beef between Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage). And because he’s Elmo, he manages to do the whole thing in under two minutes.

The clip depicts a bitter stalemate between Cersei and Tyrion, with Tyrion ultimately quipping at Cersai, “See? This is why you don’t have any friends!”
Cue “Elmo of Sesame Street,” who arrives on the scene to mediate the conflict by imparting a lesson about respect.
“When Elmo has a problem with his friends like Abby or Cookie Monster, Elmo doesn’t get upset. Elmo listens and learns from what they have to say,” he tells the feuding siblings.
“If we stop fighting and work together,” Tyrion responds, “we can be stronger.”
Tyrion and Cersei then agree to (try to) be more respectful of each other in order to accomplish their goals. This ending-we-never-saw-coming is all thanks to Elmo of Sesame Street.
Maybe we should have called the iconic red Muppet to Westeros a few years ago? Who are we kidding, though; we live for the drama.
This is not Sesame Street‘s first trip to Westeros. Revisit the iconic “Game of Chairs” parody from 2015.
