Supermodel Naomi Campbell surprised fans on Tuesday when she announced the arrival of her daughter on social media.
In an Instagram post, the perennially in-demand fashionista shared the news writing, “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother.”

“So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel,” Campbell wrote on Instagram. “There is no greater love.”
The only details the superstar shared if you can call this a detail, is that her mother Valerie Morris-Campbell was tagged in the sweet announcement.
The last time Campbell hit the runway was in April of this year, The Sun reports.
Minutes after the Instagram announcement was shared by Naomi Campbell, celebrity friends and titans of the fashion industry took to the comments to voice their immediate reactions and congratulatory remarks.
“Oh my God!!!!!” Marc Jacobs wrote. “Today is the day?? How absolutely incredible. How lucky she is and how lucky you are! What a wonderful Mother you will be. Blessings all around.”
“No one deserves this more” singer Rita Ora added.
“Wow congratulations Naomi. BIG, BIG LOVE, wow you’re a Mama,” actor Jaime Winstone wrote.
“Seeing the two of you together made my year. You will bring each other so much joy @naomi,” Edward Enninful, an editor for Vogue wrote, hinting that he had already met the baby girl.

Years ago, in 2017, the model admitted that she was considering children. She told Evening Standard, “I think about having children all the time.”
“Now with the way science is I think I can do it when I want,” she added. “I’ll see what the universe brings me. For now, what the universe has delivered is very much in the spirit of a ‘chosen family.'”
But, Campbell-watchers were let down when the supermodel walked back her baby pursuits in 2019. “Not yet—I’ll see what the universe brings me,” she said when asked about a potential baby, The Sun reports.
At the time, she was rumored to be dating British pop star Liam Payne. It’s unclear whether she and Payne are still together or who is the father of the baby girl.
