Ca’Shawn ‘Cookie’ Sims Found Safe After Influencer Went Missing For A Month

Ca’Shawn “Cookie” Sims has been found.

Per the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the influencer, who has been missing for a month, was discovered at a local hospital on Thursday and reunited with her family.

“There is no suspicion of foul play,” the sheriff’s office said, per the outlet. “The family is asking for privacy.”

Ca’Shawn’s sister Ca’rynn “Cee” Sims, confirmed she was found on her Instagram account while Ca’Shawn’s other sister, Chris’tol Sims, also shared the news on Instagram alongside a photo of her.

Ca’rynn revealed her sister went missing after she visited a hospital in Pasadena, California, on Sept. 11 and 12 — but was released from care on “both nights.” Her family stated she was last seen on Sept. 8.

“She went to a hospital on both days with complaints of shortness of breath and was released from hospital care both nights,” she wrote on her Instagram alongside the LASD missing persons alert. “We’re still looking for her!! Please do the same!”

Ca’rynn previously said Ca’Shawn lives in Duarte, but left “no indication to where she may have been headed after last leaving her home.” Ca’Shawn’s mother told ABC7 this past Wednesday that Ca’Shawn has struggled with mental health issues due to the pandemic.

Sims, 30, was last seen on Sept. 8 on the 2100 block of Broach Avenue in Duarte, California, according to a missing persons alert shared by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Sims has been described by authorities as a 5-foot-1 Black woman with black shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. She has the phrase “It’s found in the soul” tattooed on her left collarbone and the word “Earth” inked on her left forearm.

Ca’rynn says other distinguishing tattoos on the social media influencer’s body include an image of an elephant, the phrase “As sisters we stand together,” and the definition of the word “serenity.”

“Please be on the look out for finding my sister to ensure that she’s okay and safe. She has abandoned her home, her dog and seemingly her phone which is unlike her,” Ca’rynn wrote on her Instagram on Tuesday. “Our extended family (my grandad, aunts and cousins) cannot reach her alike with my middle sister, mom and dad.”
