From Paralyzing Her Son During Birth to Hating Her Plastic Surgery: Sylvester Stallone’s Moms Many Confessions

Jackie Stallone, who passed last September, came clean about her son being paralyzed at birth as well as her plastic surgery to the Irish Examiner in June of 2013.

The 91-year-old mother of Sylvester Stallone previously admitted to getting multiple surgical procedures over the years and ultimately, confessed she regretted her choices.

When asked if she still has cosmetic surgery, she admitted: I do and actually I’ve got too much, I look like I’ve got a mouth full of nuts, it’s [cosmetic filler] Juvederm, too much of it. I feel as though I look like a chipmunk.”

Explaining Juvederm, she added: “It plumps you up but it looks like you have a mouth full of walnuts.”

“I’ve had chemical peels, I’ve had three of those and about 50 injections,” she continued.

That being said, Jackie was against Botox fillers at the time, which reduces wrinkles but can end up making the face look a bit stiff.

She added: “No Botox, I don’t need that, what I want Botox wouldn’t help. I don’t have wrinkles in my forehead, I genetically don’t have that, that’s something I can be thankful for.”

And while she previously lived in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Monica, Jackie did not frequent doctors in nearby Beverly Hills for her surgery, as she didn’t trust them as far as she could throw them.

She added at the time: “I’m all for everything to make you look good – anything and everything. But most of the plastic surgery in Beverly Hills is rotten. I have seen on TV and in person the biggest hacks. I will go to other states.”

“Just because it’s Beverly Hills and they do the stars, but do you see what the stars look like? They look like they’ve been struck by lightning don’t they?”

Jackie also prioritized her fitness, attending tap dancing classes, working with a personal trainer and playing the piano every day. She shared how it was important for her to set an example to other senior citizens.

She said: “[yo]u have to be a role model for seniors. And actually, I became a role model for the movie stars at 50, because what they dread more than anything is getting old and shot. But I get more popular as I get older.”

“I use a bag of spinach a day, every morning for breakfast I steam a bowl of it and boil an egg on it. That’s the secret to my longevity.”

Stallone’s mother also spoke on how her son was born “deformed” and doctors didn’t believe he would reach adulthood.

She said: “During the delivery to speed things up, they grabbed these ice-picks [forceps] and yanked the baby out paralyzing his whole head and face and part of his body. His body was so deformed it was pathetic.”

“The doctors told me ‘He’s so crippled you ought to put him away.’ But I decided he was going to walk, he was going to talk.”

And while she previously shared how her son still suffers from the effects of his traumatic birth, she claimed that when her son can’t move his face when he speaks, he expresses himself using his sharp stare.

“Since that day Sylvester has come a long way. And nobody can say that for someone born so handicapped getting to where he has is anything short of a great triumph for Sylvester.”

Jackie passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 98.
