Gabrielle Union and Daughter Dressed Up in Matching ‘Bring It On’ Costumes for Halloween, and It Was Absolutely Everything

Gabrielle Union and her daughter delivered the best mom-daughter “twinning” moment on Halloween in their matching Bring It On costumes.

Union, who played Compton Clovers cheerleader Isis, a rival to Kirsten Dunst’s Rancho Cerne Toros cheerleader Torrance Shipman, in the beloved teen comedy, pulled out her old cheerleading costume for this year’s Halloween festivities. This time, though, she brought along a new teammate — her 11-month-old daughter, Kaavia.

The proud mom shared pictures of herself and Kaavia in their coordinating uniforms, captioning the photos, “Brought It. #CaliforniaLove.” Union also posted the pic on Kaavia’s person Instagram, saying, “Tried to steal our bit, but you look like… finish this cheer.”

Celeb fans like Taraji P. Henson, Kimora Lee Simmons, and Halle Berry loved their look, commenting things like, “Y’all won Halloween” and “Halloween cancelled.”

Union and her husband Dwyane Wade received Kaavia’s custom cheerleading uniform from the restaurant chain Runza after a recent trip to Nebraska. Kaavia’s perfectly coordinated with Union’s uniform with green, yellow and orange, as well as matching yellow bows in their hair.

Union donned the costume for her Halloween-themed 47th birthday party, hosted at California Love. The star shared some sage advice on her birthday, saying, “Always remember that not everyone is going to love you, like you or support you. That’s not ANY of your business. You can STILL love them, support them and champion them & their work. You lose nothing celebrating folks, even the ones who would prefer you take a long walk off a short plank. Don’t apologize for doing what’s right for YOU. There is no pot of gold at the end of your life for doing what everyone else thinks you should. LIVE!”

Now, about that Bring It On sequel…
