On August 7, the sister of beloved actress Denise Dowse took to Instagram to share a heartbreaking statement regarding Dowse’s health. Denis Dowse is best known for roles in Beverly Hills, 90210, Ray, Insecure and so many more.
Sister of ‘Beverly Hill, 90210’ Star Shares Heartbreaking Statement on the Status of Her Health
Alongside a photo of Dowse, her sister wrote, “as many of you have seen, my posts have been positive and uplifting. I am trying to keep my spirits up and support those who need it.”
As Dowse’s sister continued, she admitted that because she is such a private person, this statement is very hard for her to make. “I am requesting support and prayers be offered me and my sister, and my only immediate family Denise Dowse.”
The statement revealed that Dowse is currently in the hospital in a coma that was not medically induced. “She is currently in the hospital in a coma brought on by a virulent form of meningitis. Her doctors do not know when she will come out of the coma as it was not medically induced.”
“She is a vibrant actor and director that should have many years ahead of her. Thoughts, prayers, and support are greatly appreciated. I have been reading your comments and want to acknowledge everyone’s comments.”
The statement concluded with her sister saying, “I will not be responding to your texts as I do not want you to think it is coming from her at this time.”
Many of Dowse’s fans and acquaintances took to the comments section to offer their well-wishes. Her fellow 90210 co-star Ian Ziering, commented, “Sending prayers and hopes for better days ahead.”
And former NBA star Stephen Howard, added with a comment of his own, “Sending love, prayer, and hugs to one of my favorites.”
