Joe Burrow has already accomplished so much on the football field, but now he’s taking a major step off of it with the launch of his new nonprofit ‘The Joe Burrow Foundation.’ It’s a move that’s near and dear to his heart, dating back to when he won the Heisman Trophy in 2019.
During his acceptance speech, Burrow took the time to highlight the many struggles and challenges the Southeast Ohio community is faced with on a daily basis – more specifically, the food insecurity and poverty. It was a motivating and action-provoking speech that moved many.
In fact, that speech sparked the launch of the Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund – which has raised more than $1.6 million for the Athens County Food Pantry. Burrow was so motivated by the support that he decided it was his turn to do his part in giving back to the community.

“Everyone has a responsibility to do good,” said Burrow as he announced the launch of his nonprofit on Tuesday. Those seven words are the first things you see when you visit the foundation’s official website and they’re seven words that everyone should start living by.
‘The Joe Burrow Foundation’ will focus its efforts on fighting food insecurity and children’s mental health. “We will build on our efforts to tackle food insecurity by also finding ways to offer up support in Greater Cincinnati, other parts of Ohio, Baton Rouge, and Louisiana,” he added.
Burrow is joined by his parents, Robin and Jimmy, who will work closely with the nonprofit. With Joe Burrow serving as president of the executive board, Jimmy will serve as vice president and Robin will serve as secretary and treasurer. I don’t know about you, but that’s quite the team.
Burrow’s mother, who works as an elementary school teacher and principal, sees firsthand the challenges and stressors families face. We are committed to bringing people and resources together to help make a difference. We hope you can join us along the way,” said Robin Burrow.
‘The Joe Burrow Foundation’ is Just the Beginning
Joe Burrow has had an up-and-down start to his career, but he’s handling it like a champ and the launch of ‘The Joe Burrow Foundation’ is just another reason why. He’s one of the most mature quarterbacks in the league and is taking control of the Cincinnati/Ohio community.
After a 2-7-1 start to his rookie season, Burrow suffered a season-ending injury that left Bengals fans devastated. How did he respond? By leading the team to a 10-6-0 record last year and throwing 4,611 yards and 34 touchdowns. Oh yeah, he also took them to the Super Bowl.
He has even faced his fair share of resistance this season, starting 0-2 before regrouping and leading the team to a two-game win streak heading into Week 5 – he has thrown for 562 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions during this streak. He’s doing what Burrow does best – win.

And now that he’s winning off the field with ‘The Joe Burrow Foundation,’ we’re left wondering if there’s anything this man can’t do. He’s definitely someone you’d want your child looking up to and certainly someone that’s easy to root for on Football Sunday – he’s a keeper, for sure.
