When one couple’s gender reveal cannon malfunctioned and their reveal went slightly awry, the mom-to-be Stacy Young wrote on Instagram that she “could not imagine this going any other way.”
On November 16, Young, her husband, and several other family members and friends gathered in Wisconsin to learn the sex of their unborn child.

In order to make the reveal as grand as possible, the couple used handheld confetti cannons to help with their announcement. The cannons were supposed to blow pink or blue powder and confetti into the air revealing if they are having a boy or a girl.
As the video posted on Young’s Instagram revealed, those in attendance counted down from ten before the couple began twisting the cannons to set them off.
However, while Young’s husband’s cannon set off blue confetti without a hitch, Young had a little bit of trouble with hers.
Nonetheless, she was determined to be a part of the big reveal and kept twisting until she got a result. However, when it did finally explode, revealing the blue confetti that indicates they are having a boy, Young didn’t realize that she was pointing the cannon at her husband’s face.
When Young realizes what she did, she has a quick chuckle and then runs over to give him a hug to make sure he is okay.
Thankfully, no one got hurt, and all though Young’s husband ended the day looking like a smurf, he was able to laugh off the hilarious snafu.

And after Young posted the video, it quickly went viral. Hundreds of people also found the video hysterical, with many writing that they “can’t. stop. watching.”
And we’re sure that once their son is old enough to watch the video of them learning his gender, he will also not be able to stop laughing at his dad’s expense.
