Chrissy Teigen turned 38 years old this week and she shared how she celebrated the special day.
As Teigen revealed on Instagram, while also spending time with family and friends, she also underwent Ketamine Therapy in order to spend some time with her late son Jack.
“I had a really nice birthday ???? went to to see my friends @flamingo_estate, had a beautiful lunch with friends, then did ketamine therapy and saw space and time and baby jack and some weird penguins and cried and cried and cried. Then laid with my babies, then hot pot, then hung with my best friend ????”
According to the Pacific Neuroscience Institute, “Ketamine therapy is a treatment approach that uses low doses of ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic medication, to manage various mental health conditions, such as treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).”
“For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted four children,” Chrissy Teigen wrote in her latest Instagram post. And now, her dream is her reality.
In a surprising announcement shared just moments ago by the home chef and former model, Teigen revealed that she and her husband, singer John Legend, have welcomed their fourth child into the world.
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Teigen and Legend expanded their family this past January when they welcomed a baby girl into the world. Esti Maxine Stephens was born on January 13.
Her arrival came more than two years after Teigen and Legend devastatingly endured a stillbirth in 2020. The couple shared the first photo of their baby girl shortly after her arrival.
“My little Esti ????❤️,” John Legend commented on the photo his wife shared. They also share 6-and-a-half-year-old Luna Simone Stephens and 4-and-a-half-year-old Miles Theodore Stephens.
And now, they have a second son as well.
“As a little girl, 2 glow worms and 2 cabbage patch dolls were perpetually in my arms, helping me stir in my pretend kitchen, watching Alf with me. We’d sleep together nightly, each getting the same amount of kisses as to not make the others jealous,” Teigen continued her statement. “My mom always searched for the Pound Puppy with 4 pups in her push, having no qualms about opening and peeking inside before purchasing.”
“After losing Jack,” the name they gave the son they lost at 21 weeks, “I didn’t think I’d be able to carry any more babies on my own,” Teigen added. “To be honest, I’ve personally blocked out a lot of my mindset during that time, but one clear memory is being surrounded by people who wanted to make sure I wouldn’t go through that pain and loss again.”
“In 2021, we reached out to a surrogacy agency, with our first correspondence inquiring about perhaps having 2 tandem surrogates, to each bring us a healthy baby boy or girl. Twins, kinda?!”
It was during those talks with the surrogacy agency that Teigen admitted she decided she wanted to try to carry one more child to term. “I remember saying I just couldn’t go on wondering my life if I should have tried again.”
Several months later, after undergoing IVF, Teigen became pregnant with Esti. But they were also working with a surrogate to bring their fourth child into the world as well.
“The first embryo we tried with Alex didn’t survive, and I will never forget how hard she fought to get ready for a second transfer. How much she gave up of her own body—surgeries to get scar tissue cleared, the mental toll it takes to go through all of that for yourself, much less for other people.”
Finally, following the second transfer, Alex learn she was pregnant with Teigen and Legend’s fourth baby, a son. And on June 19th, 2023, Wren Alexander Stephens was born.
“Our hearts and our home are officially full. And to our Jack, we know both their angel kisses are from you.”
