A Mamas Uncut Facebook fan writes in asking for advice on the topic of morning sickness. Read this mom-to-be’s question below.
“Tips to help with morning sickness? I’m 12 weeks pregnant with my first and can’t stop throwing up. I can hardly eat or drink, and as soon as I do, I throw it back up.
I take Diclectin and Gravol and nothing is helping. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to help me? I can’t even leave my house because of the nausea Thank you.”

Advice from Dr. Tiffany Fischman on how to deal with morning sickness:
Morning sickness is rough. On a positive note, it’s usually a sign of a healthy pregnancy, but that doesn’t help much when you are puking non-stop.
Dilectin and Gravol can be helpful for some, but for others not as much. The most important thing is for you is to stay hydrated. Somehow your body knows how to take care of the baby. You should constantly be sipping water or Gatorade or something.
If you are vomiting repeatedly and unable to keep even fluids down, you should see your doctor. Some women develop hyperemesis gravidarum, which can require hospitalization and intravenous hydration.
If your vomiting is more manageable but you still feel terrible, try getting some fresh air, snacking on salty carbohydrates like saltines frequently or trying something that contains ginger like a ginger tea or ginger candy. For others, a nap or acupuncture can help. Good luck, you will get through this!
