Several weeks after admitting she’s not as close with her family as she once was, Hailey Bieber became a mom for the first time.
As her husband, singer Justin Bieber revealed on Instagram, the couple welcomed a son into the world in August. The Aug. 23 post revealed that they named their little one Jack Blues Bieber.
The post garnered mass amounts of attention including more than 20 million likes and several congratulatory messages from some of the most famous people in the world.
In a July interview with W magazine Bieber explained that she’s “not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent. I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family.”
She continued, adding, that despite not being very close with her family anymore, “when I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond, beautiful memories,” she explained.
Prior to her marriage to Justin, Bieber was a member of the prominent Baldwin family. Her parents are Stephen and Kennya Baldwin; her uncles are popular actors William and Alec Baldwin.
Just a day after announcing the arrival of their son, Stephen took to Twitter to share a message.

In response to Justin’s mom’s post, which read, “CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber & Hailey. I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK,” Stephen wrote, “Amen. Congratulations to you and may God continue to bless our family.”
He later shared another congratulatory message alongside the same image Justin shared on Instagram with the hashtags “grandson” and “blessed.”
