While a guest on the Therapuss with Jake Shane’s podcast, Grainge revealed that her daughter, Eloise, has a phone and the friends who know her best often text the number pretending like they are chatting with the baby.

“Eloise has a little baby phone,” Shane revealed.

According to Grainge, who has admitted she hates being away from her daughter for any given period of time, got the phone so that it can go with Eloise wherever she goes.

“Whoever’s with Eloise gets the phone,” Grainge explained on the podcast.

Shane joked that he texted Eloise’s phone just before Grainge appeared on the podcast to ask her if she would be OK if they talked about her on the episode.

Eloise, aka the person she was with, denied Shane’s request, telling him to “keep my name out of your mouth.”

Grainge, who is the youngest daughter of legendary singer Lionel Richie, welcomed Eloise into the world with her husband, Elliot Grainge, in May.

In an interview with with Dr. Thais Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney on the “She MD” podcast in October, Grainge shared that she had a good pregnancy up until 32 weeks.

At 32 weeks, the new mom had gone into active labor and remained in active labor for six weeks.

After giving birth to Eloise, Grainge then began suffering from postpartum preeclampsia.

According to Tthe Mayo Clinic, postpartum preeclampsia is “a rare condition that occurs when you have high blood pressure and excess protein in your urine soon after childbirth.”

Grainge was admitted back into the hospital.

“The hardest thing I ever had to do, I think literally, was leave my daughter two days postpartum,” Grainge said, adding that the “mom guilt” kicked in almost immediately. “It was horrendous. I actually hid in the closet and cried.”

“And my poor husband was like, ‘I have to get you to the hospital because the doctor is saying it’s just not safe. It’s not safe that you’re home.’”

“So I spent 24 hours in the hospital and it was really, really, really hard.”
