Jelly Roll doesn’t like to go too long without seeing his family, but luckily he doesn’t have to.
The 39-year-old “Save Me” singer recently revealed the one rule he implements with his wife, Bunnie Xo, and 16-year-old daughter, Bailee Ann, that ensures they spend enough quality time with each other.
“Fourteen days has been our rule kind of from the beginning,” he said in this week’s issue of People magazine.

“We actually just implemented that same rule with our 16-year-old,” he added. “Because we realized that we were going a month or two at a time without seeing her, and I was like, this just needs to be family.”
That might be hard for someone who has been on tour since August, but that’s not the case with Jelly Roll, who will wrap up his “Beautifully Broken” tour on Nov. 26.
Even when he’s touring the country, he always finds a way to make time for family.
As for what they do, that all depends on who’s joining.
“When my wife’s on tour with me, um, without my daughter, we do adult things,” he said with a laugh. “And when my wife’s on tour with me with my daughter, we do family things.”
One of his wife’s favorite things to do is going to the oldest church in town.
“My wife loves gothic stuff,” he told the publication. “… This is what really tickles her fancy.”
Jelly Roll and Bunnie met in Las Vegas in 2015 following one of his performances at what was then the Las Vegas Country Saloon, he wrote in a 2022 Instagram post.
The couple got engaged a year later and tied the knot that same night, according to Today.
“It was Vegas, right? So it’s like 11 o’clock. They’re closing the joint down… and I’m like … Let’s just go now,'” he said of the marriage during a 2020 appearance on the “King and the Sting and the Wing Clips” podcast.
Jelly Roll prioritizing family over everything
Fast forward eight years and Jelly Roll describes his wife as “the person you show up to when the chips are down,” he tells People.
“I prioritize family and that’s what anchors me down,” Jelly Roll told the outlet. “My world shrunk when I focused on one woman.”
Today, Bunnie Xo is a stepmom to Jelly Roll’s two children, Bailee and Noah, 8, whom he shares with different women.
Together, they’re building a strong foundation for their family and Jelly Roll credits them for a lot of his success.
