Andy Cohen Reunited With His Son After Being in Isolation for Nearly 2 Weeks After the Dad of One Tested Positive for COVID-19

Andy Cohen is officially out of isolation after testing positive for COVID-19 last week and one of the hardest parts about recovering from the illness has been his separation from his son, Benjamin Allen. In an abundance of caution, Cohen has not been around his son since he tested positive.

“I’ll tell you what I know from the nanny cam and from video because I can’t see him, which is the worst part,” he said on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live. “But he’s great and his nanny [tested] negative.”

Cohen also spoke a bit about some of the symptoms he’s experiencing as the virus “runs through” his body, including a lack of appetite. The Watch What Happens Live host joked that while he’s enjoying his slimmed-down figure, he also can’t wait to indulge in some pizza.

Andy Cohen Says the Hardest Part of Isolation Was Being Separated from His Son After Testing Positive for COVID-19

“Two days ago, before I went to bed, I took a shower and I was walking into the shower and looked at myself and said, ‘Holy sh*t, you look great,” he said on the radio show. “I saw a picture of a pizza yesterday; I thought, ‘I can’t wait to eat pizza.’ When I get better, I’m going to gain so much weight. It’s bound to happen.”

Cohen shared the news of his diagnosis last week on Instagram, telling fans that he hadn’t felt well for a few days before getting tested for COVID-19. “As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better,” he told fans about putting his show on hiatus for the time being.

“I want to thank all of the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves,” the dad said. Now, as Cohen revealed on Instagram on March 31, while he is still self-quarantining, he has since been reunited with his young son after getting the okay from his doctors.
