‘She Is HERE’: YouTubers Phil and Alex Congelliere Welcome a Daughter After 8 Years of Infertility

In November 2019, YouTubers Phil and Alex Congelliere told their fans that the wait was finally over and that they were growing their family by one. As parents of two, Phil and Alex dreamed of becoming parents of three. However, due to years of infertility, it was a struggle for that dream to come true.

For years, the family documented their journey towards getting pregnant and welcoming another child into their family on YouTube. But then, the positive test they were waiting for. And the moment Alex learned she was finally pregnant and the hilarious moment her children walked in on the moment she was hoping to keep private was captured on camera.

Alex also filmed how she told Phil she’s pregnant by painting a sign that said “Congelliere Party of 5.”

Both Alex and Phil’s two oldest children are adopted. But the couple never gave up hope of having a biological child one day.

And now the Congelliere Party of 5 is official.

“She is HERE! May 31, 2020, at 5:37 a.m. 7lbs 14 oz, 19 inches,” Alex wrote on Instagram. “She is doing amazing! We can’t even begin to thank each and every one of you for your love, support, and prayers.
We can’t wait to share with you every miraculous detail. Until then, we are spending our day visiting her, talking to the NICU team, trying to finally get some rest, pumping, and eating. How have 12 hours flown by so fast?”

“I still can’t believe she is here and she is our daughter. Just wow. What a miracle.”

In a second Instagram post, Alex wrote that she “could just breathe” in their newest baby girl “forever.” “I can’t believe you were just inside me and now I can see your beautiful face. Wow. Just wow. What a little miracle you are.”

Following the baby girl’s birth, she was admitted into the NICU. Alex updated their fans by saying they “are currently monitoring and watching for her PDA to slowly close and see how we respond to the narrowing of the aorta. PRAYER REQUEST: that somehow we will be able to function well with the narrowing and we could push back the surgery until she is bigger.”

Then four days after her birth, Alex and Phil announced the name they choose for their third daughter. “We love you with our whole hearts and your name was known since the start of our family. Welcome to the world, Cassidy Drew!”

“God knew you had the perfect spot along with your sisters. We are so blessed and honored to celebrate your life with so many around the world. You are already a light and an example of hope. We love you, baby girl.”

Phil also shared a message with his “fearless” wife and his new baby girl on his own Instagram page.

“You are precious and your mother is fearless. One day you will learn to tell your own story. I’ll cry that day. You’ll share how your mother never gave up on bringing you here. You’ll tell the story of your healing and how Jesus is using your broken heart to be the heart of courage for others. You’ll tell others to be kind to everyone, even when they don’t look like you, talk like you, or act like you. You’ll be humble and kind and you will remind people how God hasn’t forgotten them or their dreams. And when you are done sharing, I’ll run and hug you and whisper in your ear like I did this morning how much I love you.”

“Alex is a total warrior and I’ll say it for the 1 millionth time, she is my hero. She’s a tender momma with a warriors heart.”

Phil added that he can’t wait to be able to say “more about my daughter, what we learned through the last 8 years of #infertility, the worship session that took place in the room during Alex’s epidural, her delivery story, how the girls are reacting” and so much more.

The mom said that they have avoided sharing the news of Cassidy’s name until now because they hadn’t had a chance to tell all of their family members first before going into labor. Congratulations to the Congelliere family!
