The search for a missing young mother from San Angelo, Texas, ended in tragedy last week after police found the pregnant mom’s dead body inside her boyfriend’s freezer.
Selena Ann Bradley, 23, disappeared on October 16 under mysterious circumstances. Just a week later, a police investigation had led authorities to her boyfriend’s home — where they found a horrific discovery in his kitchen.
Bradley was expecting her third child, at the time of her disappearance. It’s unclear where exactly she was last seen or who she was last seen with, but just one day after she vanished, Bradley’s Facebook page was updated with an odd message.
“Listen im fine,” the post read. “Im ok im just want to be left tf alone. when im ready to come back I will. I have to get me and my happiness together. Im good where I’m at.”
Quickly, the message alarmed Bradley’s family.
Bradley’s mom, Christie Skelton, knew something was wrong and told KTXS that she believed it was her daughter’s boyfriend, William James Martinez, 39, who had her phone.
After the young mom was officially reported missing, investigators started looking into her whereabouts, which led them to Martinez.
Not too long after allegedly killing Bradley, Martinez went to one of his closest friends, Tony Chambliss, and made a confession: “He had done something terrible,” he told the man — something that would send him “to prison for life.”
And while Martinez did not go into detail, he did tell Chambliss that “the body was in a freezer.” After Chambliss spoke to investigators, they requested a warrant to search Martinez’s home. In the interim, Martinez made yet a second confession.

Stephanie Rios, a San Angelos woman who also shares a child with Martinez, revealed to investigators how she also got a call Saturday from Martinez. Martinez requested to speak to the little girl but before Rios handed the phone over to their daughter, Martinez allegedly broke down in tears and told Rios that he’d killed Bradley.
But when Martinez allegedly spoke to Bradley’s mother that same day, he said something completely different. After Skelton allegedly asked him if he’d hurt Bradley in any way, Martinez denied doing anything to harm her. But when police searched Martinez home, they went right to his kitchen freezer — where Bradley’s body had been stuffed inside and wrapped in a blue tarp.
While the cause of her death has yet to be released, an affidavit described Bradley as having “marks on her neck and the left side of her face consistent with being struck and assaulted,” WTXS reported. He was promptly arrested and charged with murder after fleeing police and is being held on a $1 million bond.
