Kevin Hart‘s recently addressed the masses after his Netflix special caused backlash, due to the alleged attack on Black women.
Hart recently popped on Instagram to address the backlash he received by joining a live Clubhouse chat room earlier this week titled “Is Kevin Hart funny??” and engaging with dozens of folks on the issue.
The group was initially created due to Kevin’s new comedy special, “Zero F***s Given,” in which at one point he jokes about his 15-year-old daughter, saying he’s already seeing “hoe activity” from her.
And while joking about his daughter, many were quick to do a double take.
People at the Clubhouse decided to have an open and honest dialogue about if he was promoting, wittingly or unwittingly, the degradation of Black women by evoking a trope about his daughter, who is a minor.

Kevin discovered the Clubhouse chat room and decided to join himself. The conversation was captured by a third party and later posted online.
The entire thing lasted about 15 minutes.
And while there were quite a few topics covered — the one that kept getting touched on was how Kevin’s male fans have a tendency to shut down, write off and silence Black women who criticize Kevin whatsoever, which they believed was a big piece of a toxic culture he creates.

Kevin’s response? He viewed the conversation as constructive — chatting with folks who had differing viewpoints on him as well as his comedy. He also insists on the narrative that the entire Clubhouse chat was aimed at Black women or meant to pit him against Black women is not true in the slightest.
And while it seemed Kevin enjoyed chatting with people, it also became apparent he did not like their conclusions that followed.
That being said, Kevin revealed why he initially got in touch with the Clubhouse and also talks on how the pandemic has forced him to get creative for marketing and promotion.
