The world went crazy in 1998 when Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt got together. For almost a decade they were known as the golden couple.
However all good things must come to an end so in 2005 the pair eventually split when Angelina Jolie entered the picture. The world was heartbroken but the reason for the split seemed insidious.

Jen was filming Friends while Brad, was about to start shooting for Fight Club. Initially they kept their relationship a secret to avoid any public speculation.

Three months later, they announced their engagement during a Sting concert waving the engagement ring to crowds of applause.

In July 2000, the couple got married in sunny Malibu. Guests were asked to sign confidentiality agreements and airspace surrounding the ceremony was restricted.
The Aniston-Pitt privacy stance is the reason for so much mystery around the marriage.
In September 2001 Jen talked about being married to Brad and all appeared fine.
Aniston divulged how the couple purchased a $15 million property.
Aniston’s love for Brad is apparent throughout an interview, she can’t seem to help but bring him up at any given opportunity.

“The One With The Rumor” starred Pitt as one of Ross Geller’s old school friends, Will Colbert.
Pitt’s character proudly confesses that he and Ross had spread a rumor about Rachel back in high school.
Rumors that circulated from both Brad and Jen’s respective parties post-breakup are, twenty years on, yet to settle.
Two years after the cameo cracks begin to appear in the fairytale romance.
When asked if Brad was the love of her life, Aniston replied “He’s certainly a big love in my life..”
Future? husband?
Most of us don’t have reporters asking us these questions. Maybe all was still good between the pair at this point.
Perhaps the pair were still very much in love at this point…
In 2004, Jen even suggested they interested in having children. Aniston discussed how she was looking forward to starting a family.

It’s May 2004, and “happily” married Brad Pitt starts filming alongside single Angelina Jolie spent an awful lot of time together and got on very well.
The press heard rumours about how close Angie and Brad were and this circulated across the world.
Aniston and Pitt had announced their separation in 2005. The couple contested the tabloid rumours claiming they were still friends.

“We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate. For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media. This decision is the result of much thoughtful consideration. We happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another. We ask in advance for your kindness and sensitivity in the coming months.”
Friends and family of the newly-separated couple insisted to press and media that Brad and Jen were friends.
Did Brad and Jen split due to Aniston’s desire to remain childless.
In 2014, Aniston’s slammed the press and their assertions concerning whether she would have babies.
She stated, “My value as a woman isn’t measured by motherhood.”

Aniston’s refusal to admit claims that her marriage to Pitt ended because she didn’t want children, fuelled the rumours.
Relations didn’t remain civil after their announced separation in 2005.
Aniston publicly slammed Pitt and Jolie for their insensitivity following the break-up.
Aniston spoke to Vogue in 2008, in response to Jolie’s public comments about her and Pitt’s relationship.
Jen told Vogue, “I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. That stuff about how she couldn’t wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool.”
