As Mamas Uncut has previously reported, in 2021, actor, comedian, and entrepreneur Nick Cannon has welcomed four children into the world. Now, he is a father of seven and reportedly loving every minute of it.
In a past interview regarding the way in which he is choosing to expand his family, Cannon has said having children with multiple different women is a plan, explaining that none of his children were “accidents.” He once even likened himself to a seahorse.
Cannon is currently the father to a daughter, Zen S. Cannon, whom he shares with model Alyssa Scott, a second set of twins, Zillion Heir and Zion Mixolydian, whom he shared with Abby De La Rosa, another daughter Powerful Queen, and a son Golden Sagon, whom he shared with Britany Bell, and of course his oldest children, and first set of twins, Moroccan and Monroe, whom he shares with singer Mariah Carey.
Back in August, during an interview with The Breakfast Club, Cannon said, “They know how I feel,” when talking about the women who he has children with. “I’m not going around like, ‘Who am I gonna impregnate next?’ … The woman is always the one who leads and makes the decision.”
Now, one of the women who shares children with Nick Cannon is speaking out.
Earlier this year, just before Father’s Day, DJ Abby De La Rosa and Nick Cannon welcomed twins into the world. They named their boys, Zion Mixolydian Cannon and Zillion Heir Cannon.
In a recent interview, De La Rosa explained that she and Nick Cannon were pregnant once before welcoming their twins into the world. Sadly, the friends had suffered a pregnancy loss.
It was after tossing their first child together that they had made the decision to try to get pregnant again. “First pregnancy, April 2020, was definitely not planned, but Nick was such a great friend to me and just so good to me, and then our focus became to have a baby,” Abby explained on Instagram, according to E! News. “Little did we know we would end up having twins.”
Abby did confirm that she and Nick planned the pregnancy that led to twin boys. However, it was something they thought about before it happened.
“Let me just add that this planning wasn’t like us sitting down with a calendar and being like, ‘You gotta be pregnant by this date,'” she continued. “It had already been a thought and it happened…It had already been out there, it was something we were manifesting and we were just letting it flow.”
De La Rosa added that she would love to have more kids, but didn’t clarify if she hopes to have those additional children with Nick Cannon. “Of course, I want more kids. If God permits. And if God doesn’t permit, it’s alright. I got two-for-one, it was a beautiful journey, a wild journey.”
