Elvis Eduardo Cordero is growing up to be much like his late father Nick Cordero. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Nick passed away after contracting COVID-19. Elvis was just a few months old when Nick first fell ill.
Now, Nick’s wife and Elvis’ mom, Amanda Kloots, is keeping Nick’s memory alive as she raises their son on her own. And just a month before Elvis turns 2, Amanda is showing her Instagram followers just how much he is like his father.
In an adorable photo, Elvis is seen posing in front of his father’s guitar collection while rocking one of Nick’s hats. Nick was considered a great among the Broadway community and music industry.

In the caption, Amanda wrote, “In Daddy’s hate in front of his guitars.” And one commenter had an amazing idea for the mom as she watches their son grow.
“That would be an awesome picture every year, to watch how he’s growing,” the fan wrote, to which Amanda replied back, saying, “Love that!”
And another fan asked Amanda Kloots for advice. “How do you cop with such a devastating loss everyday?”
Amanda revealed that for her, she just has to take it one day at a time. “It is not easy,” Amanda admitted in the comments section. “I cry every single day. One day at a time.”
Fans also mentioned how the hate Elvis is seen wearing brought back their own memories. Nick was often seen wearing a fedora.
As one fan wrote, it’s a hate she “saw many times outside many a stage door. So sweet to see Elvis in it. Thinking about you both so much as the one year anniversaries keep popping up. One day at a time. Nick would be so proud of how you consciously choose joy over pervasive sadness.”
And Amanda’s strength over this last year has been admirable. It’s beautiful to see the joy their son brings to her life every single day.
