America’s Most Expensive Home Is An 100,000 Sq. Ft. Mansion And The Asking Price Is A Cool $350M

“The One,” a mansion of massive and ornate proportions in Bel Air, California is finally on the market and is America’s largest and most expensive home.

The mansion boasts 105,000 square feet of living space and will allegedly hit the market for around $350 million.

In the past, there were whispers the property would list for $500 million in 2018 while it was under construction.

But in 2017, the New York Times countered how the house would likely sell for much less than that citing how the Playboy mansion sold in 2016 for $100 million.

And while the crazy long list of amenities has been showcased throughout its 10 year development — the 21-bedroom, 42-bathroom home are finally being revealed for the first time in an archdigest.com feature.

The most alluring features include a moat (of course), a 400-foot-long jogging track, a 30-car garage with two “car-display turntables,” bowling alley, spa, cigar lounge, five swimming pools oh, and a 30-seat movie theater.

In addition, there is a “philanthropy wing,” which can host 200 guests for charity galas and has “sky pods” that overlook the city. Need we say more?!

While the home was not built for a particular person, it was built as a project for owner and developer Nile Niami, who hired architect Paul McClean and designer Kathryn Rotondi to create “The One.”

And in 2017, McClean also designed Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s new L.A. pad, which they purchased for $88 million.

“This project has been such a long and educational journey for us all,” McClean shares with archdigest.com. “It was approached with excitement and was thrilling to create, but I don’t think any of us realized just how much effort and time it would take to complete the project.”

According to the outlet, “due to recently approved city ordinances, a house of this magnitude will never again be built in Los Angeles,” which means the listing agents — Branden and Rayni Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates, along with Compass’s Aaron Kirman — will be in good shape once “The One” is sold off.
