The Duggar family, for the most part, is a tightknit clan that looks out for its own. However, there has been some drama between different factions of the Counting On family that seems to be reaching a tipping point. Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard have found themselves on the outs with Jim Bob, the patriarch of the family.
Amy Duggar has finally decided to weigh in on the feud between Derick and Jim Bob. Amy is not shy! She speaks her mind and fans of the show should listen.
Over the past several months, Derick has become rather candid about his distrust for Jim Bob.
Jill and Derick no longer appear on the reality TV show, Counting On, after they had an apparent falling out with the Duggar patriarch, Jim Bob. The couple didn’t appear in any of the family’s videos or posts about Christmas and they were not invited for Christmas last year.
In the comment section of his Christmas post, Derick revealed some new details about earnings from Counting On.
According to Derick, the couple was kept in the dark about earnings, contracts, and more by Jim Bob. He responded to a comment on Instagram writing, “Jill and I were under the impression that the family didn’t make any money from the show, but rather, it was presented to us kids as something that was done as a ministry that TLC periodically subsidized in the form of reimbursements for things like gas, restaurants, travel, etc… but not really any pay on top of that.”
Say what? Derick didn’t realize Jim Bob was making money from a reality TV show that starred his family? It’s not a novel concept. People get on TV to get paid. However, Amy seems to be on Derick’s side.

We really wish we knew what Amy was referring to in this tweet to Derick. Did Jim Bob control the purse strings for all of these adults? There are so many questions we’d like to get to the bottom of. If Derick’s version of things is true, then Jim Bob could be in some trouble. Stealing earnings from your adult family members is illegal. Perhaps. Jim Bob must be controlling it all if that’s the case. It’s hard for us to believe that these adults don’t understand how money is made, but it’s totally possible.
Amy is one of the only other Duggars to interact with Derick and his wife since the rift began.
Amy shared photos on her Instagram account of herself and Jill together during the holidays. She was one of the only, if not the only person in the Duggar clan to be seen with the outcasts of the family. We’d like to know what Amy knows.
Amy, please spill the beans.
We don’t like seeing anyone siding with Derick after his transphobic comments, but if what he says is true, Jim Bob has some serious explaining to do. Amy has always been honest with fans.
It would be heroic if she could shed “some light” on this situation and gave fans some answers.
