Amy Duggar King is speaking up for her cousin Jana Duggar and against those who have been taking advantage of her. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Jana Duggar spoke out earlier last week after news broke that she was issued a citation after a child she was watching snuck out without her noticing.
“I’m only sharing this because the media has been having a field day with it all,” Jana began her statement. “I prefer a more private life, but I know my last name means that everything we do is open to public criticism and interest, especially during this time.”

As Jana continued, she revealed that she “was babysitting a few months ago when one of the children wandered outside alone.” A passerby saw the child alone and called for help. The incident was investigated and, according to Jana, resolved.
“They recognized it was a case of a child slipping out of the house when you turn your back for a moment. It all happened so quickly and was scary.”
After news of the incident was made public, just one day after Jana’s older brother, Josh Duggar, was found guilty of downloading and possessing child pornography, many of Jana’s sisters, including her cousin, came to her defense.

Each statement revealed the same thing, that they would trust their kids with Jana any day and that she is one of the best people they know. Now, Amy is furthering her defense of Jana by speaking against those who have taken advantage of her.
On Twitter, the mom of one wrote, “I believe that if you are a parent you should watch your own children. It’s not right to always have someone else watching them for you.”
She then continued in a second tweet that she needed to clear something up. “I’m not talking about loving good parents that work and provide for their families. I support that! Of course! I’m talking about people who rely on Aunt’s or friends or anyone that takes advantage of people. Just simply because they can.”
“Your kids even your older kids should not be your built-in babysitter. Your kids no matter what their age is should be able to live a normal adolescent life. Helping out every once in a while is great but if you’re gonna have that many kids then be responsible for them.”
Three days later, Amy also used her Twitter to share the traits of a sociopath.
Although it wasn’t expressly aimed at someone, it can only be assumed that Amy is talking about Josh. Josh remains in custody as he awaits sentencing for his crimes.
Many of his family members have spoken out against Josh following his guilty verdict. His wife, Anna, has not yet spoken out about the situation yet. Up until this point, Anna has stood by her husband, it is unclear if that is still the case.
