Advice on having a 4th c-section?

I am a mother of three, three, and under. All births were cesarean. We would like to have another baby soon. My only worry is surviving a fourth surgery. Looking for advice from other Mothers who have experienced more than three cesareans, preferably close together. I would love to hear about your experience. Thank you!

I’ve only had 2. My second was way easier than my first, recovery and everything.

I’ve had 4 c sections and then a hysterectomy along the same scar. Healing time after the fourth took a lot longer to heal and was very very tight. Vitamin A oil helped me a lot with the healing process and itchiness! Good luck :cherry_blossom::heart:

I had my first 3 2.5 yrs apart… it’s was a struggle between 2 & 3, too much scar tissue. My last 2 was 1yr 11 months apart and the recovery was a lot harder. With my last I got my tubes tied and it’s been rough. I’m 3 mon pp, and I still hurt

Ive had 3 and will be having my 4th rcs next month. My 3 csection so far have been pretty smooth sailing… all 3 years apart … except there is almost 10 years between my last and this one

I have had 6 c sections with multiple complications. I have been advised not to have any more children. My situation is not the norm tho.

4 sections within 8 years here. 07, 09, 13 & 15… Healed quicker with the 4th than any and that one included my tubal ligation.

I grew up with a neighbor who had 9 c sections and her last child #10 was natural childbirth.

Why are you having cesarean every time? Is it medical reasons or are you choosing to do it?

Not trying to judge, but that is alot of trauma to inflict on your body in such a short period of time. Please allow yourself time to heal!

my advice is to advise against it. sections need two years to heal between pregnancies and you have had 3 in 3 years. your risk of rupture is very high I would advise as an LD nurse to wait atleast 2 years

This is something you should absolutely speak to your medical care provider about. They know your body, history, and healing patterns the best.
In general, having that many children all that close together is rough on a woman’s body no matter how she births her children.

Why not try a vaginal birth? I would talk to your doctor about the safety of it. I did fine with my third after having a c- section with my second.
