I am breastfeeding and have been having sharp pain in one of my breasts Advice?

Looking for advice as of recently, I’ve started getting sharp pain every now and then in one breast. I’m exclusively breastfeeding, regularly emptying, and am not having any signs of problems. Any tips or advice is appreciated

This might sound weird since you have no other signs but I had a clogged duct that took me forever to notice and I started getting sharp pains, I didn’t know because I was getting milk out

I’ve had this issue every time I’m breastfeeding. Went to the doctor. Turned out to be nothing.

When does it occur? During letdown? While nursing? While pumping? Etc?

It’s literally for no reason. The tissue gets inflamed from the growing and shrinking. It hurts but usually stops after a second. Take some Ibuprofen that’s about all you can do.

If it last more that a few seconds try heat on it it might be a clogged duct rub where the pain is to help it get unclogged

One thing you can try is putting hot water in a bowl as hot as you can stand it and sit iton a table and lean into it and message it.It sounds weird but works. Or a hot bath too but I found the bowl to work better .

Not to scare you (because it’s probably just let down or a clogged duct) but please have any breast pain checked out by your doctor! A friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer while breastfeeding her newborn. It started with pain in one breast & that prompted them to scan it. Better safe than sorry!!

Could be letdown? Sometimes that’s how it feels

Could possibly be mastitis, I exclusively breastfeed and got it a few times. But contact your doctor

Yea, the letdown for me was a tingling sensation, almost hurt but just for a moment.
