I am considering a tubal reversal: Thoughts?

I had my tubes tied via filshie clips in 2018. I am now really considering a tubal reversal. I would like to hear some other experiences that have had it done. How to get the process started, success rate, ect .

I had a reversal in 2013, due to chronic pain from my tubal. Fixed that pain and in 2018 had a happy healthy baby #3  It’s hard to find a good specialist to get it done and insurance will not cover it. Cost is something like $5,000 -10,000 depending where you go and what type of procedure you have. Mine was done laparoscopically with robotic assistance by Dr. Mor in Encino, CA but his website has changed so I’m not sure if they’re still doing reversals. It’s never a guaranteed fix but his success rate is good and they did neat work with a quick recovery. If it does work it increases the chances of an ectopic pregnancy so you’d need an early ultrasound to make sure everything is where it belongs.

I had a reversal oct 2018 got pregnant in dec 2018 and now have a healthy happy 10 month old . I had mine done in Saskatoon, sask. paid $3000.00 to the doctor and about $1700.00 for hospital fees. Was sooo worth it! Was recommended to take 6 weeks off work but was back to normal at about 2 weeks!! But everyone is different. A friend of mine had a reversal a few months before me (different doctor ). She got a bad infection and still no baby. There is no guarantee sadly.

I had my tubes tied in 2005. I had a tubal reversal in Sept of 2016. I had a positive pregnancy test oct. 29th of 2016 and delivered a beautiful healthy baby boy July of 2017. It cost roughly $8000 in Louisville Kentucky with Dr. Levin. I did a lot of research before I had this done and he was deemed the best.

It’s crazy how you lovely ladies were able to get your tubes tied with no problem and now want them untied. I cant even get my doctor to tie them in the first place because "I might change my mind":angry:

I had a reversal done Oct 2019. My reversal dr said that for most people, it takes about a year to conceive after reversal…
We got pregnant in December and are expecting a baby girl in September.
I had it done at Lakeshore Surgical Center in Gainsville, GA for $6900… that included everything (surgery, hotel, labs and all)

My doctor told me he wouldn’t do them on me when I asked because it can cost up to $40,000 to reverse. He also said that he couldn’t guarantee that it would even work after. You do what you feel is right for you though

You would have better chances doing IVF.

Why’d you get them done?

I had got re-married and he had no kids and wanted one and now he passed away from cancer and we had 1 child and after i had it reversed it did not take long to get pregnant .the child is now 12 years old and just lost his dad this past January 2020. But I wouldn’t change it for the world and after we had him my husband got fixed.

I had the clamps done as well when I was in a bad marriage. After my divorce, I met the love of my life. We had the surgery, and ended up with 11 cm of tube on each side, and was pregnant in 6 months! I would do it again in a heartbeat :heartbeat:

My friend had it done a few years ago. It cost about 10,000 out of pocket since insurance doesn’t cover it. It didn’t end up working… I guess If you’re over 40 the success rate is only 40%

Adopt there are a lot of kids that need a parent

You ladies are so brave! That’s so scary

I had my tubes done with the clips in 2009 got them reversed Feb 2016 and got pregnant in May 2016. The second month trying. I was 21 when I got them fixed and 27 when I got them reversed. I am now pregnant with my 3rd baby after the reversal so it definitely worked

What if you go them burned?
