Jeremy first told fans that they were in the hospital via Instagram Story, telling people that they decided to go the ER after Ember’s fever spiked “pretty bad.”
“She’s just been feeling really sick,” he told fans via an Instagram story which has since expired, according to a story on People.
Audrey and Jeremy also faced a very long night in the ER. Jeremy shared that the couple arrived with Ember at 10:30 p.m. and they were still there at 4:00 a.m. waiting on test results.
“The hospital just takes forever, so we’ve been waiting for her urine sample to come back and it’s been three and a half hours. It doesn’t make any sense,” he said in the Story. The tired duo was finally able to take Ember home around 5:00 a.m. when she was finally feeling better.
The couple will be back in the hospital soon when they welcome their second child, a boy, due in early January, though they’re aiming to have minimal medical intervention.
“If medical interventions are unnecessary then I just lean more on the natural side. But I also wanted to experience the true pains of childbirth and pregnancy,” she told In Touch Weekly.
For now, the family of three is back at home and looking forward to celebrating the holidays – hopefully illness free.
