Hilary Duff revealed she became a mom of three over the weekend! The proud mama took to Instagram to share the good news with a photo of the newest member of her family of five.
The photo also revealed that she opted to have a home water birth, something her two oldest children were able to be a part of. The black and white photo showed her husband Matthew Koma and her oldest child, son Luca, gazing at the newest member of their family, as Hilary and their now middle child, Banks, sat in the pool holding the little one.

Duff also revealed the name of their little girl who was born on the 24th of March; Mae James Bair Koma. And her famous friends were thrilled with the family’s special news.
“So beautiful! Congratulations!!” singer Ashlee Simpson wrote in the comments sections. Meanwhile, Ashley Tisdale, who also recently welcomed a child into the world, wrote, “This photo ❤️❤️ congrats beautiful.”
Similarly, Sophie Turner also wrote, “Congratulations mama!!!” And Vanessa Lachey wrote, “Congrats Beautiful friend!”
Duff revealed she was pregnant with her third little one in October 2020 with a sweet video of Koma rubbing her growing tummy. The actress wrote, “We are growing!!!” Before joking that it was mostly her that was growing.
And Duff was very busy during her pregnancy. She died her hair blue, filmed the last season of Younger, released a collaboration with the clothing brand known as Smash + Tess, and also a children’s book she authored titled My Little Brave Girl.
“I can’t believe I’m actually holding a real copy of my very own picture book! My Little Brave Girl! I wrote this one night after a long day at work away from my 4-month-old daughter. Emotions running high, still trying to hang on to nursing and being fearful of the change that comes with new schedules/work/really just life,” Duff said of the book.
“I went down the rabbit hole thinking about the many adventures she will have in her life with and without me and all of the ways she will have to be brave and find her footing in this beautiful challenging world! I hope this book inspires girls to lead with their heart and know how special their mind is and helps parents not feel so alone when dealing with the bittersweet taste of letting your child grow.”
The book came out on March 23, just one day before Duff’s second baby girl was born!
