On May 12, country music star Blake Shelton officially received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – it was a day he and his family will remember forever. That family was there to honor him on the special day as he was joined by his wife, Gwen Stefani, and his three stepsons – Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.
Shelton and Stefani have been together since late-2015. They started dating after bonding over their subsequent divorces, which both occurred in the summer of 2015 – they were coaches on The Voice at the time. The couple announced their engagement on October 27, 2020, after five years of dating.
The couple got married on July 3, 2021, in the same chapel he proposed in seven months prior – they’ll be celebrating their two-year wedding anniversary in two months. They don’t have a child together, but Shelton has embraced his role as a stepfather to her three kids, who she shares with Gavin Rossdale.

During his speech at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Friday, Blake Shelton praised his wife for being the greatest thing in his life – as he always does. “I kind of stopped checking things off my list of great accomplishments in my life when I married Gwen, so this is just icing on the cake,” he said.
“I love you so much, and that’s the great thing that’s happened along this journey,” he continued. His high praise was echoed by Gwen Stefani in her own speech at the Walk of Fame ceremony – calling her husband a ‘one-of-a-kind guy’ and praising him for always staying true to himself, wherever he goes.
She went on to call him humble and genuine, and couldn’t help but point out how everyone feels like they know him whenever they go anywhere. She describes him as part of the country dream, Hollywood dream, and American Dream. “And everybody knows you are my dream come true. I love you,” she said.
Shelton was also joined by several other family members, who he said were in town from Oklahoma – as well as The Voice host Carson Daly and former The Voice coach Adam Levine. Shelton dedicated his star on the Walk of Fame to his late brother, Richie – who died in a car accident 33 years ago (in 1990).
Blake Shelton Continues His Praises for His Wife
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are the epitome of ‘relationship goals’ and aren’t shy about sharing their undying love with the world. After praising his wife during his Walk of Fame speech, Shelton continued to sing those praises in interviews after the ceremony came to an end – including with Fox News Digital.
“Well, nothing’s official to me unless Gwen is a part of it,” he said. “I probably would have made sure and searched around and found a day, if she couldn’t have been here today, to be sure we did it on a day where she could at least be here and be with me because things just aren’t fun unless she’s a part of it.”
He went on to tell Fox News Digital that he never imagined making it to this point – having a star on the Walk of Fame. He looks at the other country music stars who have a star of their own and they’re all people he looks up to. “So I’m just so proud and honored to be a part of this thing now,” he continued.

He echoed that notion during his speech, saying he always had a dream of being a country singer and was prepared to hear himself on the radio someday, but having a star was never really on his radar. “I never ever thought that that path would lead me here,” he said in the speech – surrounded by family.
