Blogger Holly Osbourn was asked to host a gender reveal for her boyfriend’s sister, Courtney and her husband, Andy, who are expecting twins. And she turned the event into an unforgettable nod to the family’s favorite book series.

Blogger Host Epic Harry Potter-Themed Gender Reveal Party for Boyfriend’s Sister
“When they asked me to do their gender reveal I immediately knew what I would do,” Holly shared on her blog, The Duchess of Denver. “They are huge Harry Potter fans (one of the million reasons we get along so well). I have always pinned HP-themed gender reveal pins to my secret ‘future babies’ Pinterest board. Now was my chance to put them to use!”
The family of Potterheads welcomed their nearest and dearest to the “Double Muggle” gender reveal party. “They have been trying to start a family for years and the fact that they are having twins made everything extra special,” Holly shared with Popsugar.
“I could have combined both babies into one reveal, but I had so many ideas that I separated them into two.” During the first reveal, the party attendees were asked to recite the spell “Genderous Revealiosa” aloud while the couple pulled a baby onesie, with the words “baby wizard” on it, out of a Sorting Hat indicating that their first twin will be a baby boy.

For the second reveal, the crowd recited an “Incendio” spell while the couple ignited a cauldron that bubbled with blue smoke. In sticking with the theme, guests were asked to BYOB (Bring Your Own Butterbeer) and snacks included butterbeer popcorn and “Ollivander” chocolate wands.
