It will likely come as no surprise that Blue Ivy Carter, first daughter of Beyoncé and Jay Z, is truly blessed in life. Still, seeing the seven-year-old take center stage in this clip from the trailer for Beyoncé’s upcoming concert special, Homecoming, is really something special.
If that sounds appealing — and it should! — watch the trailer below. Blue Ivy’s dance happens at 00:31. (The video should start playing automatically at that mark.)
The moves. The form. The look. The attitude. Blue Ivy already has it all, but that might just be par for the course when your mom is literally Beyoncé.
Let’s take a look at that again:
Little legend!
Of course, fans were quick to exploit the moment for hilarious Twitter memes:
Homecoming is said to provide an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look into how Queen Bey put her instantly-historic 2018 Coachella performance together. Originally, Beyoncé was meant to headline the music festival in 2017. At that time, however, she was pregnant with twins Sir and Rumi and had to postpone for a full year. When she finally did take the stage last April, she became the first-ever black woman to headline the Coachella festival.
So in a few years, it’ll be Sir and Rumi’s turn to show us what they’ve got. (We’re not big betters, but if we had to put money down, we’d guess they’re going to be just as talented as the rest of their family.) Sounds like the beginning of a Kardashian/Jenner-esque entertainment empire!
In the meantime, live vicariously through Blue Ivy’s rising star, and check out Homecoming when it hits Netflix on April 17, 2019. We certainly hope she makes more appearances in the full film!
