Brian Austin Green Defends Ex-Wife, Megan Fox, After False Rumors Suggest She Abuses Her Children

Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox have been separated for three years, but that doesn’t mean they don’t still stick up for one another – especially when the media tries to create a false narrative about their children. And that’s exactly what happened on Saturday (June 10) when Brian stuck up for his ex-wife.

Before we break down what he said, let’s first discuss what caused him to speak out in the first place. It was a tweet from Robby Starbuck – a director/producer who ran for Congress last year – who set Brian off by posting a photo of Megan and their three children on Twitter and commenting on her parenting.

“These are Megan Fox’s sons. We used to live in the same gated community and our kids played at the park. I saw 2 of them have a full-on breakdown saying they were forced by their mom to wear girls clothes as their nanny tried to console them. It’s pure child abuse. Pray for them,” Starbuck wrote in the tweet.

In a follow-up tweet, Robby Starbuck provided more context to his claim – adding that the incident happened five years ago and there were two other witnesses. He reiterated that the boys were ‘expressing the desire to wear boy clothes’ during their tantrum and wished he would’ve intervened.

That tweet was posted on Thursday (June 8). On Saturday (June 10), Brian Austin Green spoke withTMZ about Starbuck’s claim and labeled it a ‘bogus story’ – adding there are ‘only a few people in the world that can verify whether or not a story like this is true and I can tell you with absolute certainty it is not.’

“This person trying to claim this is true is a perfect example of someone with selfish motives that does not care about negatively affecting a parent-child relationship,” Brian continued. The statement proves that even a divorce won’t stop Brian Austin Green from protecting the mother of his three children from lies.

Green and Fox started dating in 2004 and were engaged in 2009 and again in 2010 before tying the knot on June 24, 2010. They welcomed three sons – Noah, 10, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 6 – into this world between 2012 and 2016. They divorced in 2015, got back together, and separated for good in 2020.

Does Megan Fox Force Her Sons to Wear Dresses?

The quick answer to this question is no – in fact, she opened up about her son’s love for fashion and dresses in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2019. “He’s really into fashion and he’s the one who sometimes dresses himself and he likes to wear dresses,” she said of her 10-year-old son, Noah.

At the time, she also opened up about the boys in his school – which she described as a ‘liberal’ and ‘hippy’ school – questioning his desire to wear dresses. In an effort to make him feel more comfortable in his own skin, Fox said she talks to him about being confident no matter what anyone around him says.

Warning: the below post uses strong language that may be offensive to some.

More recently, she took to Instagram to publicly call out Robby Starbuck. “Exploiting my child’s gender identity to gain attention in your political campaign has put you on the wrong side of the universe,” she wrote. “Never use children as leverage or social currency. Especially under malevolent and erroneous pretense.”

She also opened up about his fashion sense last year, in a 2022 interview with Glamour. She confirmed that his love for wearing dresses began at the age of two, which caused her to buy books that ‘addressed these things’ – referring to gender identity, transgender behavior, and expressing yourself in unique ways.

“I’m so proud of my kids. Noah is an unbelievable pianist. He can learn Mozart’s concerto in an hour. I want people to see that, but I also don’t want the world to have access to this gentle soul and say all the things that we all know they’re going to say,” Fox continued in her interview with Glamour.
