Brian Laundrie Reportedly Flew Home to Florida 5 Days After Run-in With Police Before Returning to Utah to Be With Gabby Petito

During the first interview given by Brian Laundrie’s sister, Cassie, she made mention that her brother returned to Florida five days after he and Gabby Petito’s run-in with the police. She told the people outside her home that Brian flew home with Gabby. The reason why he flew home is still unknown.

Brian Laundrie Flew Home to Florida in August Before Returning to Utah to Be With Gabby Petito

The Laundrie’s family lawyer, although he doesn’t represent Cassie, confirmed that information by telling NBC News that Laundrie left Utah on August 17, which is five days after he and Gabby were pulled over by police officers after a witness reported a domestic dispute between them. The lawyer continued saying, Brian then flew back to Utah on August 23 and met back up with Petito to continue their road trip.

Two days after the couple allegedly reconvened their travels was the last time Nicole Schmidt heard from her daughter. Brian then returned to Florida, again, on September 1, this time in their white Ford van.

In addition to that new piece of the timeline, Gabby Petito’s family says they believe the credit card Brian is accused of using was Petito’s. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Laundrie has a federal warrant out for his arrest for using someone else’s debit card and PIN number.

During a new episode of The Dr. Phil Show, a family spokesperson said they believe Laundrie used the card to cover his expenses while driving back to Florida in the white Ford van he and Gabby had been traveling in. “He used her credit card to get home and then ran from the police,” Stafford alleged on the show. “That’s going to show a lot what he was thinking back then.”

In a new statement offered by the Laundries’ lawyer, Steve Bertolino revealed that the North Port Police have asked Brian’s father to join the search for his son.

“Chris Laundrie was asked to assist law enforcement in their search for Brian at the preserve today,” Bertolino said. “Since the preserve has been closed to the public Chris has not been able to look for Brian in the only place Chris and Roberta believe Brian may be. Unfortunately, North Port police had to postpone Chris’ involvement but Chris and Roberta are hopeful there will be another opportunity to assist.”

When asked if Brian’s parents believe he is in the preserve where much of the search so far has taken place, they said yes. “No, they don’t believe he’s in another area. They believe he is in the preserve.”

However, while they are confident Brian is still in the preserve, as Mamas Uncut reported a Florida hiker says he has no doubt he ran into Brian Laundrie while walking the Appalachian Trail. According to Dennis Davis, it was around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday when he allegedly saw Brian Laundrie driving a white pickup truck.

Davis told 911 that the man he came in contact with was talking wild and asking for directions to California. “He said that his girlfriend loved him and he had to go out to California to see her.”
