Brian Laundrie’s Father Loses His Cool, Gets Slapped With His Own Lawsuit as Law Enforcement Say They ‘May Have Found Something’

According to Fox News, Brian Laundrie‘s parents have been asked to come to a Florida park after law enforcement says they “may have found something.” As the report states, Christopher and Roberta Laundrie were photographed at Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park early Wednesday morning.

Fox News reported that the couple appeared emotional after Chris followed law enforcement into the brush. Authorities were then seen with an evidence bag.

Interestingly enough, despite their lawyer being very active and quick to comment throughout most of this investigation, Fox News says he declined to make any comments when asked about this new update. Brian Laundrie is currently a wanted man for reportedly making unauthorized charges on Gabby Petito‘s credit card.

In addition to this breaking news, Brian Laundrie’s father has now found himself in his own legal trouble. On October 18, Brian’s father, Christopher, was hit with a court summons after he was photographed taking a lawn sign and running away.

According to the New York Post, Christopher Laundrie is now required to report to the Sarasota County courthouse on December 1 after he was sued for “trashing a protester’s $40 lawn sign.” Interestingly, the lawn sign was positioned on the front lawn of the Laundrie’s home.

The sign was a part of a memorial that has grown over the last month following the news of Gabby Petito’s disappearance and subsequent murder. Christopher’s son, Brian Laundrie, is the only person of interest in the investigation.

Brian Laundrie disappeared from the Laundrie home on September 13. A manhunt for the fugitive has been ongoing.

According to the small-claims suit, the protestor Andra Griffin, who helped pay for the defaced sign, said the sign referenced Christopher’s daughter, Brian’s sister, Cassie. The sign read, “What if it was Cassie?”

“On or about the morning of October 16th, 2021, the defendant, Christopher Laundrie, came out of his home, walked up to the sign, stole it, and walked back onto his property,” the court complaint said, according to the New York Post.

As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Gabby Petito lived with Christopher, Brian, and his mom in Florida prior to going on their cross-country trip. So far, Cassie is the only member of the Laundrie family that has spoken out since Gabby’s body was found.

In her interview, Cassie said she only saw her brother twice after he returned to Florida on September 1 in the white Ford van and without his fiancée. She has stated that she saw Brian once on September 1 and once on September 6 while he and their parents were camping in Fort De Soto.

Cassie said she never saw the white Ford van because if she did, she would have reported it earlier. She said she only learned about Gabby Petito’s disappearance on September 11, along with the public.

Cassie also claimed in that interview that she hasn’t spoken with her parents since then and that she doesn’t know if her parents know more about Brian’s whereabouts and Petito’s murder than they are letting on. However, Cassie said if they are withholding information, she urges them to come clean.

In a new statement issued by the Laundrie’s lawyer, Steven Bertolino told the Insider that “they are being tortured in their own home by these protesters outside.” Bertolino continued to say that Chris and Roberta Laundrie “are being followed when performing basic tasks like food shopping. They are being harassed with lawsuits for a $40 sign that was more than likely on their property and should be considered litter.

“And all of the foregoing is occurring when they have no idea whether their son is alive or not.”
