On June 9, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari officially became husband and wife. According to reports while it was a star-studded event, many of Britney’s family members were not there.
As People reports, there was roughly 60 guest in attendance, some of those guests included Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, Madonna, Selena Gomez, and Donatella Versace. Even many of her new in-laws were present for the big day.
However, it’s believed that several important people in Britney’s life were not there, including her mom Lynne Spears, her sister Jamie Lynn Spears, and her father, Jamie Spears. While that’s likely not much of a surprise considering the last few months, also not in attendance were Britney’s two sons, Jaden and Sean Preston.
Britney Spears’ Mom and Sister Speak Out After They Weren’t Invited to Her Wedding
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Britney has had several public falling-outs with her parents and sister during her fight to end her conservatorship. However, despite their rocky relationship, Lynne Spears wished Britney the best on social media.
In the comments section of one of Britney’s posts, her mom wrote, “You look radiant and so happy! Your wedding is the ‘Dream’ wedding! And having it at your home makes it so sentimental and special! I am soooo happy for you! I love you!”
And Jamie Lynn Spears, while she didn’t leave a heartfelt message, did like the post. It’s unclear why her sons weren’t present.
“Wow!!! Holy holy crap!!! WE DID IT!!! WE GOT MARRIED!!! Gggggeeeeezzzzz!!! It was the most spectacular day,” Spears said about the big day, alongside a photo of her and her groom. “I was so nervous all morning but then at 2:00 pm it really hit me, WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!!! I had a panic attack and then got it together.”
“The crew who created our home into literally a dream castle were fantastic!!! The ceremony was a dream and the party was even better!!! So many incredible people came to our wedding and I’m still in shock!!!”
Britney Spears then had a brief moment to humbly brag about her high-profile guest list. “Drew Barrymore, my girl crush, and Selena Gomez, who by the way, is way prettier in person if that’s possible both came!!! I was speechless. I kissed Madonna again and we danced into the night with Paris Hilton.”
Britney Spears went on to thank Versace for designing her dress. “I felt so beautiful. Thank you also to Stephanie Gottlieb, Charlotte Tilbury, and Sofia Tilbury for my jewelry and makeup!!! I think we all fell on the dance floor at least 2 times!!! I mean come on, we were all VOGUING!!! Sam Asghari I LOVE YOU!!!”
