Fans Come to Britney Spears’ Defense After an Awkward Exchange With Husband on Instagram Live

On November 16th, Sam Asghari went live on Instagram while laying down with his wife, Britney Spears. The couple appeared to be in bed, but it was dark. It led to an awkward exchange between the two that had many fans split – some coming to the defense of Spears and some coming to the defense of Asghari.

During the live video, Sam asks Britney if he can show her to the nearly 3,000 users watching. “Can I show you or no?” he asked, but Britney seemed to be confused about what he was talking about. “Show me what? What are you talking about?” she said before Sam asked if he could turn the camera on her.

“I don’t need to see anything, I know,” said Britney, adding that she’s ‘always live.’ As such, Sam listened to his wife’s wishes and proceeded to end the video. “This is what’s called Instagram Live, but we’re ending it now. So have a good night,” he said, pausing the video briefly before turning it back on.

“I don’t wanna jump in, I have nothing to say. I don’t wanna talk to them right now,” said Britney Spears in the background – which prompted a ‘sounds good’ from Sam before finally ending the video. Like any photo or video featuring Spears, fans and critics quickly crowded the comments section with opinions.

On one hand, people were coming to Sam’s defense for asking his wife if he can put her on the camera – opposed to doing it without her permission. Some felt his actions were harmless with no bad intent behind any of it. In fact, one user commented that this was nothing more than a ‘regular, common couple chat.’

On the other hand, Britney Spears’ fans were rushing to her defense – arguing that Sam shouldn’t have put her on the spot like that. “Can you imagine your husband going live and asking you to show your face when you aren’t in the mood?! I would punch my husband’s face,” said another Instagram user.

“Erm yeah I don’t really like that he’s done this. What was he thinking?” another user said in a comment. Nonetheless, the couple is reportedly happy and in good spirits – the media might be making it look worse than it actually is. At this time, Briney Spears nor Sam Asghari have commented on the interaction.

Some Britney Spears’ Fans Remain Worried About Her Wellbeing

Over the past 14 years, Britney Spears has been living under a conservatorship controlled by her father, Jamie Spears, and a team of family lawyers. During the conservatorship, her finances and day-to-day life were being watched very carefully – she also alleged widespread abuse by her father and others.

Ever since she came forward with the allegations and the conservatorship came to an end, fans have constantly fluttered her comments section with concerns for her wellbeing. In fact, some fans aren’t convinced that she’s in good health – leaving many to wonder what’s going on behind the scenes.

“Why is it you look chiseled and well when your wife looks so drained and unwell,” said one user on a photo posted by Sam Asghari. Others asked where Britney is, how she’s doing, and commented they wished they would post more pictures together. Despite the concern, she doesn’t ever address it.

Some fans thought that was the reason behind Sam trying to show her on camera during the Instagram Live on Wednesday – theorizing that he wanted to show fans that she’s alive and well. Nonetheless, Instagram users are letting their imaginations and theories take on a mind of their own.
