Candace Cameron Bure is not going to apologize for the “spicy” photo she shared of her and her husband, Val Bure, on Instagram. In fact, after 24 years of marriage, Bure is happy her husband still wants to love on her in such a way.
Earlier in September, Bure took to social media to share a “sweet” and a “spicy” image of her and her husband. As many of her followers no, Val isn’t a huge fan of being on his family’s Instagram pages, so when Bure got her husband’s permission to post a photo of him she jumped at the chance.

This was the first photo Candace Cameron Bure posted, showing Val giving her a kiss on her forehead:
And this was the second photo. In order to fully understand why some of Bure’s followers are upset over the second photo, note Val’s hand placement, and Bure’s big smile.
Soon after she shared the photos online, some of her followers began calling the photo inappropriate. “Very inappropriate for a Christian woman,” one commenter wrote. “Not a good example of Christ. If you profess it, live it. Walk the walk.”
“Wow, my kids follow you on Instagram. It’s not that it’s wrong in any way. You are right he is your husband. But I try to teach them not to do things in front of the camera that they wouldn’t do if Jesus himself was taking the picture. My girls look up to you and a lot of girls do. [I] expect this from Cardi B, Katy Perry, and the rest of their elk but not you,” another wrote.
However, people were quick to come to Bure’s defense, saying how refreshing it was to see a Hollywood couple still madly in love more than 20 years later.
“Seriously couple goal,” former Disney star, Cristie Carlson-Romano wrote in the comments section. “I can only hope that after surviving two young kids we can still be grabby! It’s fun and should be celebrated!!”
“Love you guys and congrats on second base,” Bure’s TV dad on Full House, Bob Saget, added. Not long after receiving some of the backlash, Bure took to her Instagram stories to address the haters.
According to the Daily Mail, Bure began by saying, “For all of the Christians that are questioning my post with my husband’s hand on my boob — my husband of 24 years — thinking it was inappropriate, it makes me laugh because it’s my husband. We have so much fun together.”
“He can touch me any time he wants, and I hope he does. This is what a healthy, good marriage and relationship is all about. I’m sorry if it offended you — I’m actually not sorry. I’m glad we have fun together after so many years. He can touch me all day long.””
And that’s that!
