While in performing in Cabaret at the Playhouse Theatre in London, legendary model Cara Delevingne’s California home caught fire.
The massive fire engulfed her 6,650 square-foot home quickly and took first responders hours to put out the blaze. Devastatingly, Cara Delevingne lost her two cats.
According to People, there was someone in the home at the time of the fire who sustained minor smoke inhalation. The identity of that person was not made public.
The fire remains under investigation. There is no clear cause of the fire at the moment.
Roughly an hour ago, Cara took to her Instagram story to share a photo of her beloved cats, a video of the first responders lining up to contain the massive fire, and a thank you note to everyone who assisted in that scary moment.
“My heart is broken today. I cannot believe it,” Cara Delevingne wrote on Instagram. “Life can change in a blink of an eye so cherish what you have.”
The model then added, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the firefighters and people that have showed up to help.”
