Carrie Underwood Involved in a Fan’s Gender Reveal GONE WRONG!

Carrie Underwood is a loving mother of two boys – seven-year-old Isaiah and three-year-old Jacob – who she shares with her husband former NHL player Mike Fisher. The couple tied the knot in 2010 after nearly two years of dating and have been happily married ever since – their family is built on love.

Right now, Underwood is in the midst of her Denim & Rhinestones Tour, which began on October 15th and runs through March 17, 2023. During that time, she’ll be making a number of memories in 43 unique cities across the United States – in fact, one of those memories happened recently in Salt Lake City.

On November 17th, Carrie Underwood was performing at Vivint Arena – home of the NBA’s Utah Jazz – when she noticed a sign in the audience (signs weren’t allowed, which made it easy to notice). The sign was asking Underwood to help her with a gender reveal for her baby – they had the results in hand.

Carrie Underwood couldn’t pass up the opportunity. After seeing the sign, she stopped her show and grabbed the gender results from the fan. Into the microphone, she revealed that the couple was having a baby girl as the entire arena erupted into a cheer. It was a moment the family will remember forever.

Unfortunately, Carrie later learned that there was a mistake during the gender reveal. Courtney Johns, who works for ABC4, posted a video on TikTok explaining that the wrong gender was read and the couple is actually having a boy. Don’t worry, it wasn’t Carrie’s fault – the nurse accidentally read the wrong chart.

Carrie Underwood eventually saw the TikTok video and shared it on her Instagram page. “Congratulations to the family. I’m glad I got to play a small role in the happy news…even if we took the hard way to get there,” she captioned the photo. “Silver lining: boys are awesome!” she added, given her experience.

Not only did Carrie take the time to do the gender reveal in the middle of her show – unplanned, by the way – but she took an extra moment to help the couple correct the nurse’s mistake in a separate post on Instagram. This is the type of celebrity-fan interaction we wish we would see more often in the world.

Carrie Underwood Might Be the Inspiration Behind the Baby’s Name!

Carrie Underwood is used to making people’s day, but this was an experience for Sydni Ledbetter that she’ll remember for the rest of her life – not only because she’s a huge fan, but because it’s a highly personal and intimate way to connect with a celebrity. With that said, Sydni wants to honor the moment.

“Thank you so much for announcing this for our family. We have been on Cloud 9 ever since. Thank you for the most memorable moment of a lifetime. We are your BIGGEST fans. We LOVE you!” said Sydni in an Instagram comment, replying to Carrie’s post about the baby boy. The comment received 150 likes.

“I guess our new name list will have to bump off Carrie Jr. and be replaced with awesome boy names like Mike, Isaiah, and Jacob,” Sydni continued in the comment. While the couple was originally thinking about using Carrie Jr. as a possible name, they had to change their plans when they found out it was a boy.

That’s okay, they’re left with three quality choices in Mike, Isaiah, and Jacob – those being the names of Carrie’s husband and two sons, respectively. We’ll have to wait and see what name they go with, but we can assume it’ll honor Carrie Underwood in one way or another. We’re so happy for the adorable couple!
