Stranger Things‘ Sadie Sink was actually inspired to go plant-based after working with Woody Harrelson on the film Glass Castle.
“I had a lot of great vegan influences in my life and was really inspired to try it out myself,” Sink explained to Glamour. “I think everyone should consider it. It can be pretty intimidating at first, but just take it day by day. Every little choice counts!”
Lizzo
Lizzo, an artist who encourages us to be the best version of ourselves, switched to a plant-based diet in 2020. Ever since, she’s shared videos of preparing vegan recipes, and it’s truly delightful. She explained that she does not eat a plant-based diet to lose weight, instead, she said, “I just feel better when I eat plants.”

While Russell Brand might not be our favorite celebrity, he does do his part when it comes to eating a plant-based diet. He’s so passionate about it that Stacker reports that he’s rumored to be converting an Oxfordshire pub into a vegan restaurant.
Stevie Wonder
The legendary Stevie Wonder revealed in 2016 that he had switched to a plant-based diet a couple of years prior, saying, “That’s helped my already good-looking self,” he said. “I think that eating healthy is important.”
He told AOL that his health and environmental concerns were the reason why he made the switch, explaining, “We have to be about making our planet more greener, the urban areas more sustainable for the children. We can’t just talk about it, we have to be about it.”
Olivia Wilde
Director and actor Olivia Wilde is passionate about animal welfare. She spoke with PETA about why she decided to eat a plant-based diet, saying, “Beyond my desire to boycott the torture factories, I am also way happier when I eat a plant-based diet, and I feel about a thousand times more energetic.”
Venus Williams

Mayim Bialik really did an excellent job hosting Jeopardy! recently. You might not know that she’s an outspoken vegan who is passionate about plant-based diets as they are beneficial to both animal and human rights.
“We produce economically efficient food, but the question is, at what cost?” Bialik told viewers in a 2016 YouTube video. “Look how quickly we are to ignore the humans that work in the factories who produce the food that we put on our plates,” a reference to the dangerous working conditions in meat processing and packing facilities.
Stella McCartney
Fashion icon Stella McCartney has been a vegan for over 20 years, and she was inspired to switch to a plant-based diet by her mother. She’s talked about the health benefits as well as animal rights aspects of why it’s the way to go. But, the fashion designer also incorporates her vegan lifestyle when she sources materials for her designs.
“[Real leather] kills animals, which no one seems to want to talk about anymore,” she told Vogue in 2019.
Jessica Chastain
One of the celebrities that has switched to a plant-based diet that you might not know about is Jessica Chastain. The Oscar-winning actor decided to try a vegan diet to lower her high cholesterol without medication, Stacker reports. Apparently, she tried a two-week vegan meal delivery service in 2017, and she said it gave her “more energy than I’ve ever had in my life.”
She told W Magazine that after the two-week period, she went back to eating normally, and she could tell a huge difference in the way she felt, so she decided she would be a vegan for good.
“Being vegan was not anything I ever wanted to be,” she explained. “I just really was listening to what my body was telling me.”
Billie Eilish
Pop superstar Billie Eilish was raised vegetarian, and she told her followers on Instagram that she switched to a completely plant-based diet when she was 12.
