Channing Tatum Posted Sweet First Photo Of His 8-Year-Old Daughter’s Face

Channing Tatum posted the sweetest photo with his daughter, Everly. The pair are standing on the beach at sunset with lovely blue water behind them.

Channing Tatum wrote the sweetest caption.

In his caption for the photo, Channing Tatum gushed over how much fun he had with Everly at the beach and how much he loves her. He began, “You my littles are everything! You are my world and my heart.” As a single dad, Tatum values the time he spends with his daughter more than anything else.

He then went on to detail how the pair spent the following moments, explaining that “[Everly was] looking at the full moon in this pic and telling me the prophecy of the full moon mermaid and then we ran into the water and looked for her and played with glow sticks in the night water calling out to the mermaids. You said you touched a bald-headed mermaid and saw a tail.”

He finished by hoping she would remember the night as fondly as he will, writing, “Haha one day you will read this and I hope, laugh. We have fun, hehehe.”

As a single girl dad, Channing Tatum is learning as much as he can.

In a conversation with People Magazine, about his children’s book, The One and Only Sparkella, and his experience as a single girl dad, Tatum revealed how much he had to study so he could be there for Everly when she needed him. He explained that “I was really nervous when I became a single dad and having to raise a little girl, not being able to have the resource of a woman there to be able to lean into how to relate to her as she grows up. I literally went to YouTube and learned how to braid hair.”

But, he found out the secret to connecting with his daughter. His advice for other girl dads is to “just to go into her world and connect with her in any way.” Tatum is down for anything to support his daughter, “If it’s wearing a tutu or painting your nails or wearing makeup – who cares? It just worked for me.”

He wrote his book to honor other dads in his position. He explained, “I see dads sometimes, and being a parent is hard. I wanted the book to be a little bit of a letter to them. Just play – you’ll be rewarded with love.”
