Advice Summary
Though some commenters felt there is maybe something this mom-to-be could do to repair the relationship with her husband, most had some fairly simple advice: leave him!
“Didn’t know it wasn’t already obvious: LEAVE HIM and give your baby your last name, not his!” one commenter said.
“Kick him to the curb,” and “Leave him. This is a simple one tbh,” said others.
“Move out or kick him out. Don’t let him see your child. Don’t give the child his name and don’t put his name on the certificate. He’s a piece of crap and you both deserve better,” another commenter added.
While still advising the mom-to-be to leave her cheating husband, other moms shared their similar stories. “I understand,” one said. “It feels like your dreams have been crushed. When I was pregnant, the child’s dad cheated on me and he acted like I was repulsive. He was very hateful and shunned me, so I know how it feels. I left him and he has no contact with me or my child. I have been single for six years and I don’t date. I am the happiest I have ever been. My child is wonderful. He loves mama.”
“I’ve seen it in my own family,” another sympathetic commenter stated. “Leave. If he gets away with it and there are no consequences, he’ll do it again. I know it’s easier said than done but you deserve a man that respects you and loves you.”
